New Mexico State University is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified NMSU students in accordance with state and federal laws. Disability Access Services at New Mexico State University offers a variety of services to students with documented physical, learning, or psychological disabilities. The first step is to apply for accommodations by clicking the application button on this home page. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call or email to make an appointment.
- Open Settings in your web browser
- Select "Privacy and Security"
- Click "Delete browsing data"
- Check the boxes for "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data"
- Choose "All time" from the time range dropdown
- Click "Delete Data"
- Close and reopen your browser
- Navigate to the DAS link you need

Hello Aggies!
Reminder to Request Accommodation Letters to Instructors
IMPORTANT: Reminder to send out your accommodation notifications for the upcoming Fall semester before August 19th. You can find step-by-step instructions under the Student Tab by selecting Process for Current DAS Students. You can also access our video tutorials on the process under the Video How To’s Link. You can make your requests as soon as you would like. Accommodation Letters to Instructors will be published by DAS on August 17th.
ESA Updates:
Current students with new or existing Emotional Support Animals (ESA's) need to renew their registration and receive a new animal ID tag for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters on August 18th and 19th in the DAS Office at Corbett Center Suite 204. Students will need the updated roommate agreement, current vaccination records (if expired), Housing Acknowledgement Form. Forms can be found at How to Apply for Housing/ESA Accommodations
No emotional support animals should be in campus housing unless they are fully approved through Disability Access Services. Any unauthorized animals found in campus housing may not be assessed until the following semester.
EARLY REGISTRATION NOTE: Qualification for early registration through DAS is reserved for students who have successfully completed at least one semester at NMSU Main Campus or NMSU Global. Early registration is not typically granted during a student’s first semester of attendance at NMSU Main Campus.

RETURNING, GRADUATE STUDENTS, AND STUDENTS WITH INTERNSHIPS/CLINICALS: Please don't forget to set an appointment with our office to discuss any adjustments to accommodations, clinical or internship accommodations, or Graduate School accommodations as early as you can before the start of the Fall 2025 Semester. This is necessary if you have not updated your accommodations that you received as an undergraduate as they may not translate over to graduate courses very well. For returning students that took a semester or more off, you will need to meet with us to re-activate your accommodations.
Students if you have transferred to another NMSU campus or are coming from another NMSU campus, please call our office to notify us so that we can assist with transferring your accommodations to your new campus accessibility office.
INFORMATION RELEASE CONSENTS:
NMSU Students actively registered with Disability Access Services must provide a Consent Form if they want DAS employees to release disability information to:

Spouse/Partner
Special Request only: Release to Third Party or Medical Provider
The form can be filled out by
- Going to das.nmsu.edu
- Selecting DAS Student Log In and entering your NMSU username and passphrase
- Select "Information Release Consent located on the Left Hand side under "My Dashboard"
IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES: Any initial student intakes completed after April 16th will not be implemented until Summer terms and/or Fall 2026 semester.
